Special Thanks to ULI Washington UrbanPlan Volunteers!
In late May, ULI Washington volunteers worked with 240 high-school students as they participated in UrbanPlan, a classroom curriculum in which students learn about the fundamental forces that affect development in the United States. ULI Washington offers UrbanPlan at five high-schools and three Universities in the D.C. region, with this spring’s programs taking place at Bethesda Chevy-Chase High School and Robinson Secondary School. Through the two-week UrbanPlan curriculum, students work in development teams to analyze and respond to a hypothetical “Request for Proposal” for the redevelopment of a blighted urban area. ULI Washington Young Leaders: Designing flexibility into mixed used retail Breakfast Recap
About 40 Young Leaders gathered early in the morning on June 14th at the offices of Bingham McCutchen at 2020 K Street, NW to hear from two individuals who are experienced in designing and marketing flexible retails spaces. ULI Washington Advisory Board Dinner, June 5, 2012
On a beautiful late spring evening, the ULI Washington Advisory Board met at the U.S. Botanic Gardens at the foot of Capitol Hill. In a very special setting, the Advisory Board, composed of district council leaders, heard an update on the progress in meeting Strategic Plan goals and plans for the next year.
