Regional Land Institute News Release

Day 1: Regionalism The 2011-12 ULI Regional Land Use Leadership Institute kicked off with a great day at the Nationals Ballpark on September 22.  We enjoyed the views of the ballpark and the surrounding revitalizing neighborhood.  An impressive slate of speakers and panelists provided context about past, current and potential regional efforts.  And significantly, only one disparaging remark was made about the National’s record, boding well for the Institute’s ability to tackle the tough, controversial issues of the day with grace and tact. The Miracle League of Alexandria – Young Leaders Community Service Committee

On October 22, 2011, ULI members stepped up to the plate and volunteered with the Miracle League of Alexandria to help individuals with special needs play ball. The Miracle League works with the City of Alexandria to provide safe opportunities to a population that needs an extra hand to enjoy outdoor recreational activities in a fun and friendly environment.
