Jeremy Hurlbutt wins 2017 Rose Center Scholarship to Fall Meeting in LA

ULI Washington is proud to announce that Jeremy Hurlbutt, Planning Director for the Town of LaPlata, MD was awarded a public official scholarship for the ULI Fall Meeting in Los Angeles in October.  Jeremy was chosen by a strong applicant pool by the Rose Center for Public Leadership for his dedication to his work in planning in the public sector.  The grant includes conference registration and a generous stipend to cover travel expenses.  The scholarship was generously funded by the ULI Foundation. ULI Washington Member Survey Results

Last month, ULI Washington distributed a survey to its 2,100 members.  Over 260 responses were received.  The responses provided excellent input for understanding the experience of the members.  Thirty two percent of the respondents were women and 48 percent were under 35 years old.   A thorough analysis of the survey will be shared with members next month; below are selected results from the survey:   When asked how satisfied they are with the benefits received through their ULI membership, 36% said they were highly satisfied and 60% expressed satisfaction. … Read More

Prince George’s County Zoning Ordinance Rewrite Update

Prince George’s County has been working on a Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance rewrite for several years and the process is entering the home stretch. The current code is significantly outdated and overly complex, making the land-development process expensive, time-consuming, and unpredictable. Additionally, the current code is not reflective of the vision for future growth in the county. Recap- WLI Event- Like a Boss: Building Your Professional Brand
