On January 23rd, the Young Leaders Group hosted a breakfast to discuss fundraising for real estate investments.  The discussion began with Jeff Scott, Eastdil Secured, explaining how institutional investors view real estate investments within their portfolios.  Jeff discussed how the current low yield environment is undermining the ability of pension fund managers to achieve the 7-8% returns projected by their actuaries.  Many managers are responding by increasing allocations to alternative assets including real estate.  Esko Korhonen, Federal Capital Partners, and Matt Kelly, JBG, added that projected levered returns for value-add … READ MORE

The program was hosted by Javelin 19 founders Jill Homan and Kevin Hill.
