ULI Washington Service Opportunity- Casey Trees Planting
Join the ULI Young Leaders as we hold a community service event with Casey Trees at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Saturday, October 21st from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Casey Trees is an urban forestry nonprofit that connects people to trees and inspires communities to come together and take responsibility for the long term health of the urban environment. By working with volunteers and partners city-wide we plant, maintain, monitor and advocate for the trees of Washington D.C. to ensure that they stay healthy and abundant for generations to come.
The planting will begin at 9 am with opening remarks and instructions. Please arrive between 8:30 am and 8:50 am to check in, get your gear, and grab a bite to eat.
Youth under 18 years of age must have their parent or legal guardian sign a Parental Consent Form and be supervised by an adult at all times.
Dress comfortably and appropriate for the weather. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required.
No animals are allowed into the event, except for service animals.
A light breakfast and a celebratory lunch will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you at the planting!
