Mentor Group Tours the Historic Jefferson Hotel

Fall 2016, Mentor Britt Snider, a Pricipal at The JBG Companies,  arranged a tour of the Historic Jefferson Hotel for his group with the Director of Sales, Joan Esposito, who has been with the Jefferson since 2008 during the recent renovation. On the tour, she showed the group the award winning restaurant, common areas, and one of the suites, noting the great amount of detail that went not only in to the renovation and design, but also which goes into each guest’s visit.  During the renovations, the building’s skylight was uncovered for the first time in decades and the lobby’s dropped ceiling was removed to expose the original barrel vault. Many of the building’s structural elements were repaired, strengthened, and upgraded, and the HVAC and mechanical systems gutted and replaced. After the tour, the group enjoyed a cocktail in the Hotel’s bar, Quill. The Jefferson was ranked the #3 hotel IN THE UNITED STATES by US News & World Report (http://travel.usnews.com/Hotels/USA/). Fun facts learned during the tour included that if a guest is a published author, they try to get a copy of the book before their visit and have them sign it to add to the extensive Book Room.
