Welcome New ULI Washington Regional Land Use Leadership Institute

Welcome to the 2015/2016 Regional Land Use Leadership Institute class! This year’s class is a diverse set of mid-career professionals in the public, private, and nonprofit real estate and planning professions. This is the 5th year of the program and these 30 participants will become part of a network of 120 Leadership Institute alumni.

The 2015/2016 class members are:
Malaika Abernathy Scriven, Michael Antonelli, Tatiana Bendeck, Michael Brown, Gabriela Canamar Clark, Hilary Chapman, Justin Chapman, Benjamin Cohen, Luke Davis, Philip Down, Dan Emerine, Yewande Fapohunda, JoAnne Fiebe, Robert Goodill, Jeff Hinkle, Ruth Hoang, Phillip Hummel, Debra Jones, Thomas Lee, Michael Lozier, Robin McElhenny, Molly McKay, Bob Mills, Radhika Mohan, Danny Patton, Scott Rowe, Gilles Stucker, Arlova Vonhm, Liisa Warden, and Aaron Worley.

The program is a nine-month program organized around eight-full day sessions. The program is held throughout the Metropolitan Washington Region, taking participants to places they might not have been before, to help them explore and understand this region’s complexities. There is a leadership component to the program, with presentations and interaction with top leadership consultants in the area to help participants recognize and strengthen their leadership skills. As part of the program, participants work in teams to assist a non-profit or governmental organization through a mini Technical Assistance Panel (mTAP) that focuses on a specific issue facing a local community or organization.
