Housing Initiative Council

This Council, along with the Regionalism Initiative Council, is based loosely on the idea of national product councils where ULI members gather regularly to exchange best practices on particular subject matters. One of ULI Washington’s goals in establishing this Council is for it to be a place where best practices are shared both internally among members of the Council and externally with other district councils. This Council will focus on the supply and demand of housing and what public and private policy and best practices are in the housing arena.

Housing Initiative Council

The Housing Initiative Council will be responsible for creating a program to be held in the spring for the general membership on housing issues, doing a research study, and creating an outreach program to the public sector on the state of housing in the region.

Membership in the Initiative Council during the inaugural year was by invitation. In 2011-2012, the Chair and Vice Chair of the Council were Mark Silverwood of the Silverwood Companies and Laura Cole from Willowsford.
This web page will be updated as the Initiative Council moves forward with its work.
