UrbanPlan Spring Update: Student Testimonial, Keychain Prizes and New Volunteer Training

ULI Washington continues to impact area youth as proven by former UrbanPlan teacher and current UrbanPlan Committee member, Wendy Taylor recent message by an alum of the program as seen below:

“I wanted to reach out to you to let you know how much taking your class has impacted my life. You may remember when we spent a few weeks doing an Urban Plan project in class. It is because of that project that I learned about urban planning. It is the reason that I pursued a degree in geography in college, and the reason I just found out that I was accepted into the University of Wisconsin’s Urban and Regional Planning Masters Program! I have always wanted to reach out to you, because if it hadn’t been for your class, who knows if I would have ever discovered my passion for planning. I can’t wait to be excited to go to work every day, and I owe a lot of that to you for teaching me that urban planning was even a thing I could pursue.
I just wanted to say thank you.”

– Lisa McNabola, Washington Lee High School Class of 2011
