Committees
Advisory Board – Composed of ULI Washington members who actively participate in the activities of the district council. These Board members serve two-year renewable terms of service, commencing with ULI’s fiscal year. Advisory Board members are composed of leading real estate and land use professionals who volunteer their time to build a strong Washington, DC area presence for ULI. Many of these members are also financial contributors to the district council through the sponsorship program. View Advisory Board
Governance Committee – The Governance Committee consists of past ULI Washington Chairs. The committee’s purpose is to recommend the incoming ULI Washington Chair, provide succession planning advice for other key ULI Washington roles, and guidance to the Management Committee. Management Committee – The Management Committee is responsible for the oversight and direction of all ULI Washington District Council activities and is responsible for implementing the ULI Washington Strategic Plan. The Management Committee is comprised of Chairs and Vice-chairs of the core committees. This group meets regularly during the year to provide input and guidance on programs and initiatives. Membership Committee – Focuses on the attraction, retention, and engagement of new and existing members plus transition across membership categories. Click here to learn more about Membership.
Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) Committee – Identifies potential TAPs, which are 1.5-day panels that bring together ULI Members to provide guidance on specific development or planning issues. Once a TAP is contracted, the Committee recommends members to serve. Click here to learn more information about the Technical Assistance Panels.
UrbanPlan Committee – Implements ULI’s UrbanPlan program in Washington region high schools and universities, serving as School Champions and in other program oversight capacities. Only trained and active UrbanPlan Volunteers are eligible to serve on this Committee. Click here to learn more about UrbanPlan.
The Executive Committee- The chair’s “kitchen cabinet.” This group participates in the management of the district council including the budget, strategic plan, and operational issues. View Executive Committee
Case Study Committee – Researches projects that are nearing completion or completed that would be of interest to ULI members. Contacts project developers and arranges an on-site case study. Click here to learn more about ULI Washington Case Studies.
Sponsorship Committee – Members of this committee serve as ambassadors to the local real estate industry to seek sponsorship support for the district council generally. Click here to learn more about sponsorship.
Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Steering Committee– This group holds a series of programs, events, and seminars to assist women in real estate to move up the leadership ladder in their companies and within ULI. Click here to learn more about Women’s Leadership Initiative.
Full Member Executive Conversations Committee – Plans and implements a series of breakfast discussions (three to four per year) facilitated by an industry expert.
