ULI Washington encourages the real estate industry to celebrate women’s role in development, design and construction at the Built by Women DC awards ceremony and reception at the National Building Museum on Friday, March 18th. All winners, nominees, nominators, supporters, sponsors, and collaborators are invited to join Built by Women DC (BxW DC), the competition sponsor, at a cocktail party celebrating the often hidden accomplishments of the women behind the design and construction of the DC metro area’s places and spaces. This celebration and exhibit marks the culmination of a crowd-sourced competition. Using specific criteria, a distinguished jury culled over 110 unique nominations to select buildings, structures, and other built environments, either contemporary or historic, designed or constructed by women and located in the Washington, DC region. The winning projects are listed here.
