2017-2018 ULI Washington Young Leaders Group Mentorship Program – Tour of the Wharf by Madison Marquette CIO David Brainerd

David Brainerd, CIO of Madison Marquette and retail/commercial partner of PN Hoffman, took 75 ULI Washington Young Leaders/Mentees on a two-hour tour of The Wharf  December of last year. David presented the trendy restaurants along the Waterfront Promenade,  entertainment attractions such as the industrial chic  Anthem rock concert hall,  and a review of the waterfront park,   ice skating rink, marina, water taxis and kayaks.  David explained The Wharf’s development required an “Act of Congress”, and had to clarify to the Young Leaders he meant this literally, not as a developer … Read More

Young Leader Group’s Mentorship Program Kick-Off Event at WeWork Event Recap

The ULI Washington Young Leader Group’s Mentorship Program held their annual kick-off event for the 2017-2018 program at WeWork White House in September. There were a record 300 attendees this year between mentees, mentors and ULI staff. ULI Mentorship Program District Distilling Co. Happy Hour Event Recap

The ULI Washington Young Leader Group’s Mentorship Program had a great turnout recently for their first happy hour of the 2017-2018 program year at District Distilling Co. on U Street. Nearly 80 of this year’s mentee and mentor participants attended the event. Mentor Group Tours the Historic Jefferson Hotel

Fall 2016, Mentor Britt Snider, a Pricipal at The JBG Companies,  arranged a tour of the Historic Jefferson Hotel for his group with the Director of Sales, Joan Esposito, who has been with the Jefferson since 2008 during the recent renovation. ULI YLG MENTORSHIP PROGRAM – HAPPY HOUR (FEBRUARY 16, 2016)

Young Leader Mentor Groups tour First Phase of Pike & Rose in White Flint, MD

2013 Mentorship Group: Dwyer Update

The Young Leader (YL) Mentorship Program in ULI is the most exciting and enduring program one can be a part of—as senior or young professional. Mentor Groups Tour Union Market in Northeast D.C.

On the evening of March 20, two mentors and five mentees had an opportunity to tour the Union Market project in northeast DC.  Reynolds Allen, Development Manager at Edens, led the tour along with Katie Bucklew, an Investment Manager at Edens and coordinator of the Mentor program for ULI.  Reynolds gave the group a detailed history of the market and its current renaissance.  Union Terminal Market opened to the public in February 1931.
