ULI Washington Young Leaders Get their Hands Dirty with City Blossoms!

On Saturday, April 29th, the ULI Young Leaders held a volunteer event with City Blossoms, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering healthy communities by developing creative, kid-driven green spaces. The weather was great and the turnout was fantastic. About 25 ULI members provided volunteer service at an outdoor vegetable garden located at a local public charter school located in Northeast DC. Volunteer activities included weeding, mulching, planting, painting signs and other general cleanup duties. The event was a huge success and expedited the preparation/cleanup time normally required in getting the vegetable garden ready for the summer.
