Please join the ULI Young Leaders Group on Tuesday, January 14 for an evening volunteering at DC Central Kitchen. DC Central Kitchen prepares and delivers 5,000 meals each day to more than 80 homeless shelters, transitional homes, and non-profits throughout Washington, DC. The organization also provides job training to individuals facing high barriers to employment; over 90% of the organization’s post-recession graduates have found jobs in the food industry!

The event will consist of meal preparation for the following day's meals. The time will first be spent learning about DC Central Kitchen’s mission, followed shortly thereafter by vegetable chopping alongside those receiving culinary job training. Volunteers will not be doing any cooking or serving of meals.

The Young Leaders Group hosts this event annually, and a great time is always had by all. No special skills are needed, and we have space for 20 volunteers. Please email [email protected] if you would like to volunteer.
