Join the ULI Washington Young Leaders for a bike tour of the new and ongoing development projects in Silver Spring, MD. Silver Spring is a vibrant city, currently experiencing a flurry of new development and master planning. This event will spotlight recent development activity around the downtown area that exemplify the opportunities and challenges of urban development, placemaking and revitalization.
Numerous stops are planned along the tour route to visit prominent development projects, where the bike groups will hear from various speakers including stakeholders, planners and developers for each of the sites. Speakers include Foulger-Pratt, Bozzuto Development, and BKV Group with more to be announced. The bike tour is approximately 2-hours. Finally, the bike groups will have the option to conclude their ride at Denizens Brewing Co for some outdoor, socially distanced networking and cool refreshments following the ride.
The groups will meet and depart from 1 Inventa Place (1 Inventa Place, Silver Spring, MD 20910), only a 4-5 minute bike ride away from the Silver Spring Metro or the Veridian parking garage (1133 East West Highway, Silver Spring, MD). Groups are limited to 12 people and will have staggered start times. Attendees will be required to provide their own bicycles, a water bottle and a face mask.
*Masks are required to be warn at all development stops.
When arriving, the Silver Spring Metro is only a 4-5 minute bike ride away from the starting 1 Inventa Place (1 Inventa Place, Silver Spring, MD 20910), or if you plan on driving the closest parking garage is the Veridian garage (1133 East West Highway, Silver Spring, MD).
