    Sonia Chase

    President and CEO, Chase Your Dreams Academy

    Sonia serves as President & CEO for Chase Your Dreams Academy (CYDA), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to harness the unifying force of sports to catalyze positive change within low-income and underserved communities. She also owns and operates US Sports/NIKE Basketball and Youth Development Camps for at-risk youth. Sonia formerly worked as a Manager for U.S. Sponsorships Operations at Deloitte. She led operations, analytics, and on/off-site logistics serving clients that represented over $4.9B in business to Deloitte, while managing a world-class sports sponsorship portfolio including USGA, USTA, WNBA, NWSL, USSF, Team USA, Paris 2024 Olympics, LA28, IOC, SoFi Stadium, and the James Beard Foundation. She served as the main point of contact for the internal executive team and over 2,000 national client accounts each year. In previous roles at Deloitte, she has served high-profile federal government agencies and built out their HR and Diversity Equity and Inclusion divisions. She also worked within Deloitte’s Sports practice serving clients such as the NBPA & WNBPA. Sonia brings 26 years of combined experience in corporate, business, and professional sports, leading sports programs, athletics administration, business operations, and cross-functional team management. Her expertise and capability in strategic vision and planning, fundraising, project management, budget management, data analysis, change management, and process improvement serve as key attributes to CYDA’s bottom line. In addition, Sonia excels in problem solving, generative thinking, relationship building, and articulating complex ideas. Sonia was the first female in school history drafted from the University of Maryland College Park to the WNBA and played for the Charlotte Sting and Minnesota Lynx. In the WNBA off-seasons, she played professional basketball in Greece, Turkey, and China solidifying her status as a global athlete. After her WNBA career, Sonia was drafted in the first round to the NWBL, played for the Birmingham Power, and was voted as an all-star, totaling 10 years as a professional athlete. Sonia received a BA in English Language & Literature and a Certificate in Women's Studies. While in college, she earned a gold medal at the USA Basketball Olympic Festival. As a result of volunteering over 20,000 hours in the community, Sonia received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the Biden Administration in July 2024..     Michelle DiFebo Freeman is the owner and CEO of the Carl M. Freeman Companies, a Real Estate company established in 1947, that specializes in land acquisition, land planning, development and redevelopment, and the management of award-winning, amenity-rich residential communities, neighborhood shopping centers and commercial properties. Freeman Companies also owns and operates three golf courses including, Bayside, an 18-hole, award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in Fenwick Island, DE. Michelle is president and chairman of the Carl M. Freeman Foundation, which has been giving grants to organizations where her employees live, work and play since 1960. She is the founding Chair of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation, which honors her late husband Joshua Freeman by providing arts and arts education to create opportunities to elevate the human spirit. She was the visionary of the Foundation’s first program: The Freeman Stage at Bayside. Among the numerous awards for business and philanthropic leadership, Michelle received the 2014 Irene and Abe Pollin Humanitarian Award on behalf of the Carl M. Freeman Foundation, Coastal Style Magazine’s Business Woman of the Year for 2015 - 2018 and was inducted into the Montgomery County Business Hall of Fame in 2018. A founding member of Venture Philanthropy Partners, Michelle serves on the Board of Halcyon Foundation of Georgetown and Georgetown University Entrepreneurship Advisory Group at McDonough School of Business. For several years she has chaired AfterDark@THEARC in SouthEast D.C., receiving their 2017 Bridge Builder Award.     Kim Stone

    Chief Executive Officer, Washington Spirit

    Kim Stone recently joined The Washington Spirit as the club’s first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As the head of all business operations at the Spirit, Stone will work with Owner Michele Kang in guiding the club to become the preeminent sports organization in the world. Stone arrives in DC with nearly three decades of excellence in the American professional sports industry. Most recently, she served as the President of UBS Arena in Elmont, New York as well as the Executive Vice President of Oak View Group East Coast. In these roles, Stone oversaw all business operations of UBS Arena, including corporate partnerships and premium tickets. For 23 years, Stone served in various roles with the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Miami HEAT, from overseeing almost every aspect of the team’s business operations to managing American Airlines Arena (now Kaseya Center). During her tenure with the HEAT, Stone led the way to earn American Airlines Arena an extensive list of honors including becoming the world’s first sports and entertainment facility to become LEED Gold certified in 2014, being named the Best Arena Experience by the NBA in 2017 and hosting four consecutive NBA Finals. Following her first stint in Miami, Stone was named the General Manager of San Francisco’s Chase Center in 2019 and was responsible for the venue’s unprecedented level of success upon its launch in September of that year. Hosting 14 events in its first 25 days, Chase Center was an immediate game changer in pro sports venues, being named the 2019 Venue of the Year by Sports Business Journal (SBJ). When the COVID-19 pandemic began in early 2020, Stone helped lead the new venue to becoming one of the first sports and entertainment venues to earn Star facility accreditation by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), acknowledging Chase Center’s strict adherence to the most rigorous cleaning and disease prevention protocols. Throughout her career, Stone has received many awards and accolades. In 2023 alone, she was named as one of Billboard’s Women in Music Top Executives and one of Pollstar and Venues Now’s Women of Live. Additionally, Stone has been named a SBJ Power Player in Facility Management and a Woman of the Year by Women in Sports and Events (WISE), honored with a SBJ Game Changers Award and been highlighted by both the South Florida Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times as an influential businesswoman. Stone earned her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami and holds an undergraduate degree in journalism and public relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    As Founder and Managing Partner of Rawson Square, Ms. Bosfield assumes primary responsibility for firm and project management, with a commitment to developing strong relationships for superior service. That commitment has produced results for our advisory clients and partners. Ms. Bosfield has more than 15 years of real estate experience with the recent years focused on the acquisition and repositioning of multifamily investments in the Mid-Atlantic market. Bobby has also led development advisory projects with clients such as YMCA of Washington and American Baptist Churches (ABC), successfully executed mixed use development projects in the District of Columbia. She has been part of over $1.5 billion of development and investment projects, these include urban infill, multifamily, retail, and institutional projects involving new construction and renovation. Bobby has a passion for entrepreneurship and has spent her real estate career with several growing platforms, including Linden Property Group and CSG Urban Partners. Ms. Bosfield has a BSB in Finance from the University of Minnesota. Bobby completed her doctoral studies in Construction Management at Arizona State University where she led research on the best practices of front end development planning for large Oil & Gas companies. She continues to serve on local and national industry committees for Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI). Bobby is originally from The Bahamas and resides in Washington, DC.
