*TO BE RESCHEDULED* ULI Washington: Next Steps - A Walking Tour of the Southwest Federal Center
Join us for an interactive walking tour of Southwest D.C.’s Federal Center! Explore the neighborhood’s evolving potential through guided stops with subject matter experts, including the Southwest Business Improvement District (BID) and others to be announced. This focused tour of federal buildings and revitalization of the “dead zone” along the mall will aim to provide a better transition in neighborhoods from the Mall to the Wharf.
The tour will begin just outside the Smithsonian Castle Gardens on the National Mall. We'll then walk towards the Forrestal Building through Southwest D.C. stopping at the 10th Street Bridge, the GSA Regional Office & Department of Housing & Urban Development until we reach the Wharf to examine the neighborhood and surrounding footprint through themes such as urban design & connectivity, identity & vibrancy, and cross-sector perspectives.
Conclude the evening with a networking happy hour at the Wharf, offering a chance to connect with fellow real estate professionals, developers, and city leaders!
