    Siti Abdul-Rahman

    WDG Architecture

    Siti Abdul-Rahman, AIA, is a Managing Principal at WDG with 34 years of experience designing national and international projects concentrated in the Multifamily Residential, Hospitality, Commercial, and Urban Planning markets, with recent emphasis on mixed-use planning and the conversion and repositioning of existing properties. From conception to construction administration, Siti leads the project team through all phases of the design process. Emphasizing inquiry, analysis, and observation, Siti leads her team to create successful designs that extend beyond the building itself, engaging the community while also contributing to their environment.

    Michael Goodman

    Senior Superintendent, Clark Construction Group, LLC

    Experienced Superintendent with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. Skilled in P6, Value Engineering, Project Estimation, CPM Scheduling, and Construction. Strong operations professional with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a concentration in Construction Management from The Catholic University of America.

    James Kelly

    Senior Vice President, Foulger Pratt

    Jay Kelly has over 15 years of real estate development and investment experience and has been with Foulger Pratt since 2021. As a Vice President in Foulger Pratt’s development group, he leads all aspects of the company’s redevelopment efforts at Landmark Mall. Additionally, he oversees several new pursuits opportunities across the DMV. Prior to joining Foulger Pratt, Jay spent six years at JBG Smith Properties overseeing the day-to-day development operations of several high-profile mixed-use projects including 1221 Van Street (DC), West Half (DC), Eckington Yards (DC) and 1900 Crystal Drive (National Landing). He also spent several years working for the New York City Economic Development Agency, where he spearheaded public investment in private developments. Jay received a BA in Public Policy Analysis from Duke University, a Masters in Business Administration from Wharton and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is barred in the State of New York and is involved with the Wonders Learning and the Town of Chevy Chase’s Long Range Planning Committee.

    Brian Hanlon

    District of Columbia Department of Buildings

    Brian J. Hanlon is the Director of the Department of Buildings, appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser in May 2023 and confirmed by the DC Council in November 2023. He is an accomplished administrator, leader, and registered architect with more than 35 years of private and public sector experience. Through his private sector work, Director Hanlon actively practiced architecture, managed the development of many billions of dollars of K-12 and collegiate real estate, and served in several leadership roles focusing on construction management and building technologies. He is driven to deliver solutions in the built environment that are responsive to the needs of people, while ensuring they are implemented and used in the most environmentally responsible manner possible. Director Hanlon’s passion and purpose is to work to make our spaces and places integral with a spirit of stewardship. His mantra for the DOB team is keep it safe, keep it green, and keep it moving. This drives his work – so that future generations may have a future in which they thrive. Director Hanlon previously worked in District government as the Executive Program Manager at the Department of Real Estate, followed by his appointment as the first permanent Director of the Department of General Services (DGS), where the agency modernized the preventative maintenance and portfolio management of the District’s 30 million sq. ft. of real estate under his leadership. He was also responsible for $2.3 billion in new construction, renovation, and other capital projects including schools, parks, recreation facilities, office buildings, laboratories, senior centers, police stations, fire stations, and residential shelter facilities during his tenure. At DGS, he and the agency garnered multiple awards for design, innovation, and sustainable practices.

    Hakan Onel, PE, SE

    Sr. Principal, SK&A Structural Engineers

    Hakan Onel, PE, SE, is a Sr. Principal at SK&A Structural Engineers. In addition to contributions to overall firm management and business development, he provides leadership and oversight of Design Group project teams’ delivery of proactive, client-focused services, including structural design and analysis, feasibility studies, third-party peer reviews for large-scale projects, the preparation of Contract Documents, and Construction Administration services. Hakan’s breadth of experience includes high-rise residential and office buildings, corporate headquarters buildings, mission-critical facilities, large-scale atrium and canopy projects, as well as a number of complex mixed-use, multi-phased development projects in the region, such as the Stacks and the award-winning Wharf Phase I and II, located in Southwest Washington, DC.

    Sarah Barr

    Principal, Director of Creative , Hickok Cole

    As Principal and Director of Creative at Hickok Cole, I have over 25 years of experience in creative strategy for print, digital media, and experiential design. I lead a talented team of designers and thinkers that cross-collaborate across our multidisciplinary firm layering brand strategy and story into projects to create richer experiences. In the last ten years, we have focused on comprehensive branding, marketing and placemaking for national real estate developers, partners, brokers, tenants, property management and everyone in between. In 2022, I became a full member of ULI and participate as part of the ULI Marketing & Communications Forum (coms subcommittee and editor of our newsletter). At the local level, for 2025, I am on the DC Case Study committee, I participate in WLI Circles and am in the CRED Local Council. I am also a past-member of the Housing Local Product Council for ULI Washington (2023-2025).
