2017-2018 Leadership Institute Class
Application process
The 2017-2018 Regional Land Use Leadership Institute application is now closed.
Why Participate?
This is a leadership program for mid-career professionals in the public, private and nonprofit real estate and planning professions, primarily for professionals who are poised to assume leadership positions in their organization or profession in the near future. In addition to learning about real estate, there is a leadership component to the program, with presentations and interaction with top leadership consultants in the area to help participants recognize and strengthen their leadership skills.
It will help build a network of other professionals in a cohort of 30 professionals as well as 150 alumni who have completed the program.
2017-2018 Leadership Institute Schedule
The program is a nine-month program organized around nine-full day sessions. The program is held throughout the Metropolitan Washington Region, taking participants to places they might not have been before, to help them explore and understand this region’s complexities. As part of the program, participants work in teams to assist a non-profit or governmental organization through a mini Technical Assistance Panel (mTAP) that focuses on a specific issue facing a local community or organization.
