UrbanPlan Program

ULI Washington offers UrbanPlan in three formats:  in high school classrooms, in university classrooms, and at workshops for public officials and community members.

Our High Schools

Hundreds of high school students in the Washington region participate in UrbanPlan each year. Our participating high schools in FY24 include:

  • Phelps ACE High School (Washington, DC)
  • Alexandria City High School (Alexandria, VA)
  • Washington-Liberty High School (Arlington, VA)
  • Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School (Bethesda, MD)

Our Workshops

In addition to the UrbanPlan classroom curriculum, ULI Washington offers UrbanPlan workshops for community members and/or public officials and county and municipal staff.

Our goal is to empower participants with the knowledge and skills to advocate for better, stronger communities through more informed land use decisions.
