June: Raising Awareness – Understanding Race + Racism
Welcome to the first month of ULI Washington’s 2021 Summer Equity Challenge.
ULI Washington is encouraging our supporters to move outside of their comfort zone and educate themselves. Over the next three weeks, we’re asking you to read, watch, and listen to our suggested resources that will raise awareness of race and racism in America. These topics have impact communities of color, and particularly Black communities, for centuries.
By raising awareness, ULI Washington and our supporters commit to educating ourselves and creating a better future for communities of color. We’re dedicated to shaping the built environment, which means supporting and uplifting diverse, inclusive land use policies and practices.
