The best of the best student teams from across the U.S. and Canada faced off Saturday in the first UrbanPlan North American competition.
So proud of Phelps ACE and Bethesda-Chevy Chase High Schools and their proposals for urban spaces designed to support economically, environmentally and socially sustainable communities in our post-COVID world. Our deepest gratitude to Grant Ehat, Patrick Phillips, Pete Jervey, Andy Brown, and Adam Weers, whose support made the competition possible; to Paul Bernard, Andrea Martinez, Tim Gilmore and John Zehner for mentoring the students; and to John Coe, Lin Mao, Michelle Chang, Justin Chapman and Adam Weers (again) for serving as facilitators and city council members.
