A team of senior Architecture students from Phelps ACE High School put their design skills to work recently when they participated in UrbanPlan.
Using the newly released 3-D site plan tool, the students built a model of their vision to revitalize Elmwood by creating jobs and building housing a support working families.
This was the third time Phelps students have participated in UrbanPlan. The program launched at Phelps last year in teacher Andrea Martinez’ sophomore Architecture class, and a team of Phelps students competed last summer in the first UrbanPlan national competition.
ULI Washington is thrilled to have such a robust UrbanPlan program at Phelps. Many thanks to the ULIW volunteers who made the most recent program possible: Paul Bernard, Steve Colangelo, Bianca Cole, AJ Jackson, Colin Thomas, Ivy Thompson, Adam Weers, Kendra Wiley and Valecia Wilson.
