ULI Washington today announced the winners of its fourth annual Real Estate Trends Conference Awards Program, a conference component that highlights innovative development under way in the Metropolitan Washington Region.
The six distinctive award categories recognize innovative projects, policies, and initiatives that contribute to the enhancement of vibrant neighborhoods, exemplify creative problem solving, and celebrate visionary thinking. The winners of each category are as follows:
Excellence in Housing Development
Excellence in Mixed-Use Development
Excellence in Institutional Development
Excellence in Adaptive Reuse
Excellence in Affordable Housing (New Category)
Impact Award
An additional special presentation, the 2018 Juror’s Choice Award, was also presented to Marymount University Ballston Center; Arlington, VA. The award recognizes the project team’s dedication to creative placemaking – employing art and culture, in tandem with great design – to deliver a refreshing, affordable, creative new face to a project in the greater Washington area.

The Real Estate Trends Conference, ULI Washington’s signature event, features local and national speakers and provides a crash course on where the real estate industry is now and where it is headed. The theme for the 2018 conference was “Transformational Change: Communities at a Crossroads.”
