The Development Associate is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of various development, re-development or repositioning opportunities undertaken by the Company, including but not limited to design, zoning, permitting, and associated pre-construction and construction activities. Reporting to the Vice President – Development, the Development Associate will manage pre-development feasibility studies, negotiate and monitor proposals, analyze due diligence reports and prepare monthly reports and bid evaluations. As a key Development representative of the company, the Development Associate will also liaison with state, federal and local government agencies/representatives and will partner with Senior Leadership to cultivate and maintain industry, Civic and Governmental contacts as Donohoe Development continues to expand.
Required experience and skills include, but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 years of experience in Real Estate Development, Real Estate Acquisitions/Dispositions, Finance or other related field(s).
- Financial aptitude and solid problem-solving/analytical skills required to conduct financial analysis, scenario analysis and profitability models.
- General understanding of commercial real estate development including asset management, construction, contracts, zoning, legal issues, and property management. Experience with reading construction plans.
- Strong working knowledge of finance, leasing and marketing.
