Supporters of ULI Washington’s UrbanPlan program gathered on Wednesday, March 17th for ULI Washington’s first-ever UrbanPlan Virtual Lightning Round.
The Lightning Round is a fun and fast-paced team activity that provides an overview of UrbanPlan while giving participants a taste of the simulation that students and workshop attendees complete as part of the UrbanPlan curriculum.
Forty-seven ULI members and their colleagues competed in the Lightning Round, including teams from the National Association of Realtors, The Donohoe Companies, KGD Architecture, Leo A. Daly, Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and ULI Washington’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. With team names such as The Fighting Irish (Donohoe), The Lucky Charms (WLI) and The Bourbon Planners (KGD), a decided St. Patrick’s Day theme emerged.
Long-time UrbanPlan volunteers Meredith Beyer, Robert Atkinson and Caroline Herre served as the City Council, and selected the proposals from by Donohoe and Beyer Blinder Belle as the winning bids.
Those interested in ULI Washington’s UrbanPlan program can learn more at https://Washington.uli.org/get-involved/urbanplan/. The next training session for ULI Washington members interested in becoming UrbanPlan volunteers will be held on Wednesday, April 21st. Members may register for the training here.
