On Saturday, October 23rd, members of the Urban Land Institute joined forces with the Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, and the National Park Service to spend a day paying it forward by helping preserve one of the District’s most historic wetlands. In an effort to maintain the beauty of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, volunteers spent the day getting rid of invasive plants, sweeping leaves off the bike trail, and removing debris from various ponds throughout the park. To learn more about Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, visit the park’s website (www.kenaqgardens.org) or follow them on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter @kenaqgardens.
