Teams of Architecture and Engineering students at TC Williams High School put their design skills to work recently when they participated in UrbanPlan.
Using the newly released 3-D site plan tool, the students built a model of their vision to revitalize Elmwood by creating jobs and building housing to support working families. The students said that they enjoyed the challenge, and a number of them have already indicated they hope to compete in the UrbanPlan National Competition on June 26th.
This was the first time TC Williams students have participated in UrbanPlan. The program launched at TC Williams this year in teacher (and architect) Cynthia Robbins’ classes with support from UrbanPlan School Champion Stephen Colangelo, Vice President at Donohoe Development and a proud TC Williams alumnus.
ULI Washington is thrilled to have started UrbanPlan at TC Williams with such a robust program.
