Urban Land Institute (ULI) recent new joins got together at AP2 www.accelspace.com in Crystal City on January 16th to meet and learn just what being a ULI member really means. Hearing from seasoned ULI members and ULI Washington district council staff, new ULI members learned that belonging to the worldwide ULI network gives them the opportunity to make a difference in their communities. As ULI members they are connected to members from every profession in the real estate development and land use industry on six continents in 82 countries. As ULI members they represent private enterprise and public service and share a commitment to exchanging ideas and experiences, to learning best practices from each other to create thriving communities worldwide. Carlos Ostria, ULI Washington membership committee chair and Managing Director with AMT LLC welcomed the enthusiastic group. After touring the recently renovated co-working office space at accelspace – AP2 in Crystal City the new ULI members got to know each other face-to-face over breakfast. Thanks to Charles Lancaster, Executive Director with Gould Property Company for hosting us at AP2. Thanks also to Carlos and his hard-working ULI Washington membership committee for planning the New ULI Member Meet & Greet.
