The National Landing BID invites ULI Washington members and prospective members to join them for an evening tour of the rapidly evolving National Landing neighborhood! Starting at the Pentagon City Metro Station, East Entrance, attendees will be seeing the newest regional additions, including Met Park, the completed first phase of Amazon HQ2, and Water Park, a new innovative open-air food and event venue. The tour will be followed by networking and happy hour at The Freshman. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes for the 1-1.5 mile tour.
National Landing is a dynamic downtown located in Arlington made up of Pentagon City, Crystal City, and Potomac Yard. It is one of the nation’s most well-connected downtowns and one of the region’s largest and densest mixed-use employment clusters. Billions of dollars in both public and private investments are fueling a development pipeline focused on diversity of workspace, diversity of housing options including additional affordable housing, retail assets, hotel amenities, connectivity and transportation infrastructure, and digital infrastructure. The projected growth anchored by Virginia Tech’s Innovation Campus and Amazon’s HQ2 positions National Landing to become the region’s premier Innovation District.
The National Landing BID provides robust leadership in advocating for, guiding, and promoting National Landing’s evolution into a premier innovation district through strategic initiatives that enhance the area’s vitality, diversity, and livability. The BID continues to advocate for transportation infrastructure aimed at making the downtown safer and more connected, support signature projects including public art investments and other placemaking endeavors, and hosts over 200 public and industry events annually to help market the area.
