ULI Washington: DE&I Update – Quarterly DE&I Steering Committee Meeting
ULI Washington is committed to advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within our District Council and the real estate industry. Join us at our quarterly DE&I Steering Committee meeting to hear updates on our efforts, ask questions, and find ways to engage.
In January 2020 ULI Washington convened a diverse group of industry leaders to discuss how ULI Washington could help advance DE&I in the industry and region. One outcome was the creation of a DE&I Steering Committee led by Co-Chairs Adam Weers of Trammell Crow Company and Dawnita Wilson of JBG Smith. Subcommittees focused on Education & Awareness, Diverse Talent, and Strengthening Communities developed specific goals and recommendations that are featured in our DE&I Action Plan.
In 2021 the subcommittees will continue to meet at least monthly to implement these recommendations and the DEI Steering Committee will convene quarterly. These meetings are open to the broader membership and will provide updates on our DE&I efforts and impact.
