As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many office workers became full-time telecommuters overnight.  Handshakes have been replaced by waves on video calls. Executives are managing remote workforces and providing organizational
leadership from a distance, and parents are juggling full-time work and child rearing.

ULI Washington's Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) and NEXT are pleased to host a conversation about leadership and work-life balance during these challenging times. Join us for an interactive discussion with three seasoned leaders who will share how they are building culture and community during these times, opportunities and challenges they see ahead, and thoughts on juggling home and work under the same roof.

    Liz Wainger

    President, Wainger Group

I work with real estate development, architecture, engineering and construction firms to build visibility and credibility to strengthen brands to drive revenue growth, win the right business, recruit the best talent and create a culture of success. I founded Wainger Group LLC in 2000 to be the firm I always wanted to hire when I was on the client side: namely, a thought partner, who brings solid advice, creative ideas and executes well to deliver messages. It's not about clicks, new clips or number of followers but rather what impact of your communication. I began my career as a writer-reporter for The Washington Post and then held senior communications positions at The American Institute of Architects, National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Morino Institute-Venture Philanthropy Partners. In 2015, I was selected as one of the Washington Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business. I serve on the ULI's DC Women's Leadership Initiative Steering Committee and on the boards of Jubilee Housing and the School for Ethics and Global Leadership. In 2018, I published my first book, Prism of Value, Connect, Convince and Influence When It Matters Most.
