    Julia Georgules

    Head, AM Research & Strategy, JLL

    Based in Boston, Julia is responsible for guiding the strategic vision and organization of the Americas’ 200-person Research team, which includes the United States, Canada and Latin America. She is a member of the Global Research Executive Board and closely collaborates with JLL’s EMEA and APAC regions to bring the best of JLL’s research to its global and national clients. Julia’s subject matter expertise spans both the occupier and investor businesses at JLL, with a special focus on innovation markets as well as the technology and life sciences sectors, two industries that have had a significant impact on the commercial real estate industry over the past decade. Additionally, Julia has spent nearly a decade studying the future of work and the impact of the macroeconomy on the built environment. Outside of JLL, Julia enjoys spending time with her family and watching her two sons from the sidelines. She is the Cultural Arts chair at their elementary school and a volunteer for the National Brain Tumor Society.

    Michael Hartnett

    JLL Mid-Atlantic

    Michael Hartnett leads JLL’s research platform for the Mid-Atlantic, specializing in market intelligence, real estate strategy and advisory for investors and occupiers. Michael and his team deliver insights on real estate and economic activity, market conditions, trends and forecasts, as well as demographics and industry analyses. As a partner to JLL’s service line professionals, including Brokerage, Capital Markets Project & Development Services and Property Management, he advises clients ranging from local occupiers and owners to national/global investors and Fortune 500 companies. Previously, Michael led JLL’s Northern Virginia research platform across a range of asset classes, including office, industrial, residential and data centers. His also led JLL’s regional government contractor and technology research. Michael played a key role in growing the local market advisory practice in support of stakeholders such as the Rosslyn and National Landing Business Improvement Districts, in addition to global investors and occupiers. . Michael joined JLL in 2011 as a Senior Research Analyst to help lead the firm’s national competitive intelligence platform, including analyzing market share, profiling competitors and tracking M&A activity for JLL’s executive leadership. As the competitive intelligence platform evolved, Michael expanded his scope to include strategic planning assessments for local JLL market operations around the country as well, providing market sizing and go-to-market recommendations by interviewing strategic clients and prospects. Michael resides in Reston, Virginia and enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and three daughters. Education Michael received a B.A. from the University of Delaware
