On Saturday, February 8th, 12 members (and friends) of ULI Washington spent their morning in Reston, VA at the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) NOVA Community Marketplace where dozens of volunteers provided nutritional education and supplied emergency groceries to residents of Fairfax County. The event supplied over 10,000 lbs. of groceries to 200+ families in need. The NOVA Community Marketplace event is held once per month and CAFB also has a Community Marketplace location in Landover, MD. For more information on how you can volunteer at a future event, please visit volunteer.capitalareafoodbank.org.
